The Urban & Housing Development conference will be a one-stop platform that will encapsulate cutting-edge issues, strategic solutions, investment strategies and pertinent case studies in urban planning, infrastructure and housing development.
CONFERENCE STREAMS:
For DAY 1 & 2:
Stream 1: Urban Planning & Management
This stream will cover the latest urban planning issues, including strategies for regeneration and revitalisation of city space to prevent urban sprawl, as well as, bridging the urban divide to promote social equity and poverty alleviation. Furthermore, this stream will help you devise strategies to promote sustainable development and thereby build a liveable community.
Stream 2: Infrastructure Development
The sessions will discuss infrastructure projects such as transportation, water sanitation and hygiene, waste management, energy and other utilities supply shortages. Holistic approaches to address issues such as water distribution, water shortage; city transportation planning; strategies to resolve traffic congestion and case studies showcasing the latest financing models including PPPs will be highlighted.
For DAY 3
Social Housing Day on 17th Feb 2012 to explore the dynamics of low cost housing development, inclusionary housing policies, funding options available, construction materials and technologies, design and sustainability and project management for the enablement of cross cutting collaboration between private and public sectors.
